EneCats are enzyme biocatalysts capable of catalysing asymmetric activated alkene reduction (C=C to CH-CH). They are active against a variety of alkenes containing ketones, aldehydes, nitro, dicarboxylates, diesters as well as malemides, steroids, nitroaromatics and ketoisophorone. These robust biocatalysts work in conjunction with NAD(P)H, or cofactor recycling systems, under mild conditions to generate single enantiomeric products in many cases. This collection of biocatalysts can be used to screen for activity against your chosen synthon(s). It includes a thermostable enzyme and a non-flavin dependent biocatalyst.
Collection of 22 libraries of site-saturated variants of PETNR, each containing 96 clones (residue changed is known, but not the amino acid at that position). Targeted residues include amino acids directly/indirectly involved in catalysis and/or substrate binding.
Each library of site-saturated variants of PETNR can be supplied as glycerol stocks within an expression strain (0.1mL; SBS format 96-well plate).
